Fort Bend County Commissioner Dexter McCoy, former Congressman Pete Olson, the Exchange Club of Sugar Land, and an army of volunteers will meet at Bates Allen Park in Kendleton on Monday, Feb. 20, to restore and clean up around the historic slave cemetery.

Fort Bend County Retired Educators Association is offering four $1,000 scholarships to seniors from Lamar CISD, Needville ISD, or Brazos ISD planning to major in education at a Texas college. Applications can be obtained from the student's high school counselor.
