Virginia was the youngest child born to John Wrobliski and Theresa (Gorka) Wrobliski on January 8, 1938. Raised on the family farm in Cottonwood, Texas, she graduated from Lamar High School in Rosenberg, Texas, in 1956. Virginia and Laddie L. During the early years of their marriage, Virginia and Laddie lived in the Houston area where their 3 children were born. In 1966, the family moved to Richmond, Texas. Virginia began to work while also raising her 3 young children after losing Laddie, as a result of a tragic car accident, in the spring of 1967. For over forty years, Virginia was employed as a secretary bookkeeper for Gulf Coast Savings and Loan, Production Credit Association, Lamar CISD, and most recently, the Fort Bend County Elections Department as an administrative assistant for voter registration. While working full time, she proudly supported her children by encouraging and attending their extracurricular activities, as well.

She was an active member in the Catholic Daughters, Court Holy Rosary #1476, Rosenberg; VFW Post 3903 Auxiliary, Rosenberg; American Legion Auxiliary, Rosenberg; and served as a past board member for AARP Fort Bend County. She sang in the local chapter of Sweet Adelines for many years.

Virginia enjoyed such activities as gardening, bird watching, cooking, entertaining family, and singing. She was also an expert seamstress. Virginia enjoyed hosting Bunko, Chicken Foot, and traveling with dear friends and family members as well. Virginia delighted in hosting family and friends in her home. She took pride in setting a proper holiday table and serving delicious homemade meals for family, neighbors, and friends. The annual Easter egg hunts were special as she kept extra baskets on hand for neighbors to join in the hunts. Virginia truly had a hospitable and adventurous spirit.

This loving and devoted mom, grandmother, Mimi, aunt, and friend will be dearly missed and remembered.

In addition to her parents, John and Theresa Wrobliski, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Laddie L. Gurecky, and brothers Raymond Wrobliski and Billie Wrobliski.
