Mary Agnes Miksch

Mary Agnes Miksch, 91, of Needville, Texas passed away on March 18, 2024, at home peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on January 25, 1933, in Bryan, Texas to Frank Albert Kalinec and Mary Katherine (Nemec) Kalinec.

Mary Agnes had a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Houston and taught for Needville ISD for many years. She was a long-time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Needville. It was through the church that she was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church Chior, St. Vincent De Paul, and also a Rosary Leader.

Mary Agnes had a servant’s heart. She was very active with the Needville Senior Citizens Organization, the local chapter of Epsilon Omega of Delta Kappa Gamma, a volunteer at Polly Ryon and Oak Bend Hospitals, served on the Bond Committee for the new Needville High School as well as numerous other churches, schools and various civic committees.

In addition to her parents, Mary Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Miksch and her brother, Frank (Doc) Kalinec.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Miksch and his wife, Marian, Ronnie Miksch and his wife, Kerrie; daughter, Cindy Miksch; sister, Margo Bertness; grandchildren, Bradley Miksch and his wife, Rachael, Brett Miksch, Dustin Miksch and his wife, Meagan, Mikenzie Miksch, Tyler Richards and his wife, Katie, Kaylee Wagner and her husband, David, along with eleven great-grandchildren, numerous extended family and a host of friends.

A Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 22,2024 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Needville, Texas followed by a visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
