Donald Wayne Hand, 75, formerly of Richmond, passed away March 7, 2024, in Highland Park, New Jersey.
Donald was born in Richmond, Texas on August 28, 1948, to parents ML (Buddy) and Albina Eda Hand and was the first of three sons. Donald was laid to rest in Highland Park, New Jersey, March 10, 2024.
Donald was a 1966 graduate of Lamar Consolidated High School and received his engineering and finance degrees along with his CPA while attending the University of Houston, Sam Houston State University and Texas Tech University. Donald was a chemical engineer at Dow Chemical, a CPA in Texas, and had a long career in Finance at EXXON in Texas and Infineum in New Jersey. During retirement he taught Computer Security at the college level. Donald loved driving cross country and making Shaker boxes. He made us laugh and we will miss him greatly.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Albina Hand.
Donald is survived by Sara, his wife of over 46 years and was stepfather to Karen (Anthony) McMillan, David (Cheryl) Ohsie, Steven (Shelly) Ohsie, father to Rebecca Hand (Haim) Cohen and Meredith Hand, brother to Joe (Sue) Hand and Charles (Lisa) Hand, and uncle to Richard Hand, Monica Hand and Trenton Hand. He adored his twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
