A Fort Bend County grand jury returned indictments against 22 individuals this month for a variety of felony offenses. Indictments are not an indication of guilt, only that the grand jury believed a jury of the defendant’s peers should determine if a crime had been committed.

Due to a space limitation, here is a partial list of individuals indicted, the charges and the punishments they face, along with the date of the alleged offense and judge assigned to hear their cases:

Carlos Miguel Velazquez Garcia, violation of motor fuel tax requirements, 9/23/2022, a second-degree felony, Judge Rogers.

Tayro Ernesto Garcia, assaulting peace officer or judge, 2/2/2023, a second-degree felony, Judge Rogers

Karen Jacqueline Rivas, assaulting peace officer or judge, 2/2/2023, a second-degree felony, Judge Rogers.

Phillip Gerard Davis, assaulting a family member/member of the household, 2/26/2023, a third-degree felony, Judge Rogers. According to the indictment, Davis has been previously convicted of the same or similar offense, which could enhance his punishment if convicted again.

Christopher Anthony Sifuentes, assaulting a family member/member of the household by intentionally/recklessly preventing breathing/circulation with a previous conviction, 4/5/2023, a second-degree felony, Judge Rogers.

Jesse Joel Liendro Jr., manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, between 4-200 grams, 4/21/2023, a first-degree felony, Judge Rogers.

Amer Hani Abu‐Ain, driving while intoxicated, third offense or more, 5/4/2023, a third-degree felony, Judge Rogers.

Andre Jayden Kariuki Maina, fraudulent use of or illegal possession of identifying information, less than 5 items, 6/17/2023, a state-jail felony, Judge Surendran Pattel.

Evan J Howard, fraudulent use of or illegal possession of identifying information, items numbering between 5-10, 10/2/2023, a third-degree felony, Judge Pattel.

Jaime Angel Guajardo, driving while intoxicated, 6/29/2023, a third-degree felony, Judge Pattel.

Tony Wise, evading arrest/detention with a vehicle, 7/5/2023, a third-degree felony, Judge Carter.

Stephany Ann Younger, unauthorized use of a vehicle, 7/5/2023, a state-jail felony, Judge Rogers.

Kendrick Deon Maryland, unlawfully carrying a weapon with a previous conviction of a similar offense, 7/17/2023, a second-degree felony, Judge Pattel.

Roman Jeremiah Arredondo, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony, 7/8/2023, a first-degree felony, Judge Chad Bridges.

Sherry Pleasant, theft of property, between $2,500-$30,000, 7/25/2023, a state-jail felony, Judge Rogers.

Gerald Wayne Hill II, aggravated robbery, 7/23/2023, a first-degree felony, Judge Bridges.

Jessica Garcia, obstruction or retaliation, 8/10/2023, a third-degree felony, Judge Bridges.

Monica Melissa Walker, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1/1-B, less than 1 gram, 8/10/2023, a state-jail felony, Judge Becerra.

Pablo Gongora Degollado, aggravated robbery, 8/11/2023, a first-degree felony, Judge Carter.

Lorence Anthony Hubler, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, 8/18/2023, a second-degree felony, Judge Becerra.

Amer Hani Abu‐Ain, evading arrest/detention with a vehicle, 9/6/2023, a third-degree felony, Judge Rogers.

Abiodun Shittu, criminal mischief, damage between 2,500-$30,000, 6/24/2023, a state-jail felony, Judge Becerra.

Agharandu Egbu, assaulting a peace officer or judge, 8/2/2022, a second-degree felony, Judge Becerra.
