Happy 75th Anniversary at Lamar Consolidated High School
Long-lost friends reunite with hugs and kisses; teachers meet up with their teacher’s pets and class clowns, former principals share warm greetings with former students.
Lamar Consolidated High School celebrated its 75th anniversary on March 22 with present and past students, faculty and staff. The celebration included a birthday cake, punch, class photos and tour of th4e campus. Former students, faculty and staff also signed a 75th anniversary banner.
LCHS grad Ed “Tank” Schottle visits with his former Principal, Dr. Michael Milstead during Lamar Consolidated High School’s 75th anniversary celebration on Friday. Milstead was principal at LCHS from 2009-2017. Tank graduated in 2011.

Graduates of Lamar Consolidated High School attended the 75th anniversary celebration on Saturday at a campus that has undergone lots of changes since they were in school. The celebration included a tour of the campus.
Guests signed a commemorative banner at Lamar Consolidated High School’s 75th anniversary celebration on Friday with their name and the year they graduated. Once completed, dozens of signatures donned the banner. Former students also were invited into the library for cake and punch and to the journalism classroom to review yearbooks dating back decades.

Mary Frances Rinehart Huchingson, Class of 1951, came from Tyler to attend Lamar Consolidated High School’s 75th anniversary celebration. She was greeted by current principal Sierra King. “All four of my children graduated from here as well,” Huchingson said.
Amanda Frenzel, Class of 2005, is a graduate of Lamar Consolidated High School and currently works for Lamar CISD.

Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens enjoyed attending the 75th anniversary celebration at Lamar CHS. Also in attendance was Rita Morgan Miller. Morgan Elementary is named in honor of her father, Fletcher Morgan.
Clayton and Pamela Bland, class of 1971, looked through a yearbook to find their daughter who graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School, just as they did.

Calvin Lamensky ran the quarter mile relay when he attended Lamar Consolidated High School. He found his track team picture at the school’s 75th anniversary celebration.
