Scott, Willey to wed

Mr. Scott Willey of Rosenberg, TX, and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Abbott of Hutto, TX, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Hailey Ann Willey, to Charlie Scott of Gourock, Scotland, son of Mr. Graeme Scott and Mrs. Lorna Kelly, both of Scotland. The happy couple plan to wed at Dalkeith Scotland Dalhousie castle and hotel, 30 minutes from Edinburgh on June 15, 2024. Hailey is a 2013 graduate of East Chambers High School in Winnie, TX. She earned a bachelor of science degree in microbilogy from Texas State University in 2018 and a master’s degree in biomedical science from the University of Reading in England. Hailey is the granddaughter of the late Leslie S. Willey of Port Aransas, TX, and Margaret Roy of Anahuac, Texas, and the late Ralph Rice of Ingleside, TX and his wife Larraine. She presently works in Houston for Leidos, which provides supplies to the International Space Station. Charlie is a 2012 graduate of Gourock High School in Scotland. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and statistics from the University of Strathclyde in 2016 and a master of science degree in statistics and operational research from the University of Edinburgh in 2017. He presently works for Bayer pharmaceuticals in the UK. They will honeymoon in Greenland where they plan to hike the ice sheets. Hailey and Charlie plan to start life together in Houston, TX.
