Margarito “Mark” Rebeles

Margarito “Mark” Rebeles, 83, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on April 25, 2024. His journey began on February 22, 1941, in Wharton, Texas, born to Sabino Rebeles and Angelita Rebeles. Mark found solace and community at Holy Rosary Church in Rosenberg, Texas, where his presence was cherished as a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Beyond his professional life, Mark’s heart belonged to nature, finding joy in nurturing plants, exploring the outdoors, and simply basking in its beauty. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Mark is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Magadelina “Maggie” Castillo Rebeles and his brother, Daniel Rebeles.

Survivors include his children, Mark Rebeles, Albert Rebeles and his wife, Ercilia Rebeles, Frances Rebeles, Susanna Rosales and her husband, Joe A. Rosales; grandchildren, Brittany A. Rebeles accompanied by Jacob Sanchez, and Nicolette “Nikki” J. Rosales, accompanied by Sam Orduna.

Mark was the proud Great Grandpa to Nathan L. Jasso, Emma S. Sanchez, Logan J. Sanchez, Joseph L. Orduna, Isabella M. Orduna and Olivia R. Orduna; Popo to Angel R. Garcia.

He is also survived by his siblings, John Rebeles Sr. and his wife, Nieves, Antonio (Tony) Rebeles, Rufina Lopez, Elena (Helen) Rebeles and Frank Rebeles; along with extended family and a host of friends.

The last several months have been very trying for the family. They are appreciative of all of the love and support from family and friends but especially that of Nikki Rosales, who put her life on hold to take care of her grandfather, Mark, during his final months. The family will forever be grateful for your extra love and support during this time.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2024 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.

Pallbearers will include John Rebeles Jr., Anthony Rebeles, Richard Rebeles, David Rebeles, Sam Orduna and Angel Garcia.
