  • Brazos ISD prepares to sell bonds for high school

    Monday, June 16, 2008 2:04 PM CDT

The recently passed school bond will be the chief topic of discussion at the Brazos ISD school board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the high school library.

The board will hear a financial report and status of the preparation for the sale of bonds from Steve Perry, the district's financial adviser. The board then will consider an order authorizing the issuance, sale and delivery of the bonds - and afterward trustees will hear a schedule of the proposed order of projects from architect Dale Rabe.

In May, district taxpayers approved a $6.9 million bond package to pay for renovations and additions to the high school.

Also on Tuesday's agenda, the board will consider bus bids - the district wants to purchase a bus to replace one that was totaled in a wreck - and discuss the district's budget.

Trustees will hear about prices for a greenhouse for the agriculture program and get an update on prices for the replacement of the high school track.
