| Teacher faces sexual assault of child charge |

| A Missouri City middle school teacher who admitted having a relationship with one of her students was in the Fort Bend County Jail Friday morning, charged with sexual assault of a child.
Rebecca Ann Bramlett, 33, an eighth-grade English teacher at Baines Middle School, was taken into custody about 1:30 a.m. in Galveston, said Terriann Carlson, spokeswoman for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.
Bail was set at $500,000.
Bramlett resigned her position with Fort Bend ISD Tuesday after sheriff's deputies pulled her over Saturday night with the teenage boy in the car.
