EAST BERNARD - East Bernard (3-1 in District 27-2A, 7-9 overall) scored two tie-breaking runs in the bottom of the sixth to overcome seven errors and beat Brazos at Koym Field.
In the sixth, Matt Stelzel got on via an error and both Aaron Alexander and Clinton Graves bunted their way on to load the bases. One out later, Luis Roldan walked to force in Stelzel and Bryce Koenig reached on a wild pitch on strike three, scoring Alexander.
Brazos took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on an RBI by Travis Ramirez, driving in Caleb Little.
But the Brahmas quickly tied in the bottom of the inning when Stelzel and Alexander singled and Clint Graves reached on an error, plating Stelzel.
James Powell (3-3) threw a complete-game five hitter, striking out seven for the Brahmas. Clayton Orsak was the loser of record for the Cougars, now 1-3 in district.

Travis couldn't hold on to a 4-3 lead, thanks to six errors, and lost a District 23-5A contest to Hightower.
Tiger freshman Tyler Roe started and went four strong innings before coming out in the fifth due to back stiffness. Clay Tucker took the loss in relief.
