    Wednesday, December 5, 2007 2:45 PM CST

A Needville man was killed in a wreck late Monday when his motorcycle collided with a car on Highway 36, about four miles north of Needville, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety office in Pierce.

James Warren, 46, was southbound on a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle when a northbound 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Mathew Barrera, 28, of Clute veered into the southbound lane around a curve and collided with Warren, who was not wearing a helmet, said Jon Adkison, DPS spokesman.

The wreck occurred just before 11:30 p.m. north of Baker Road.
