| The Fort Bend County Fair Association awarded 30 $2,000 scholarships and five $7,700 Queen scholarships at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds Wednesday during its annual scholarship reception.
Of the $2,000 scholarships, 16 were restricted and given to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in any agriculture-related field. Nine students received scholarships nonrestrictive to their field of study. Open scholarships were awarded to four students, and one student received a vocational scholarship without restrictions.
Recipients were high school seniors or students currently enrolled in college.
